Are the Pats back? Um, no.


 I can hear the world's smallest violin being played for me as I write this. Look, it sucks not to be the 20-year powerhouse New England Patriot dynasty of old.

We've had a few crappy years and it sucks.

I know having terrible seasons is part and parcel for many fans of respective teams across the country. But all dynasties fall, and it was great while it lasted. So for now move over on the bench, Washington, Arizona, Las Vegas, Seattle, Carolina, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Cincinnati, New York, Pittsburgh, Green Bay, Minnesota, Houston, and Tampa Bay. We want to sit down.

This year I have a little more hope than the last three. Are we a Super Bowl contender? Hell-to-the-no. Will we have a .500 season? Maybe. And I'd call that a win. Anything more and it'll be icing on the cake.

And don't @ me Cowboys fans. Go get a couple of folding chairs. You'll be sitting here with the rest of us watching the Super Bowl on February 9th, 2025.

The last 30 days have been a little difficult for my circle of friends. As life goes on unpredictable as always, my circle of friends have seemingly lost more friends, coworkers, and family members than I remember in recent memory and it has me thinking. Sorry About That, Mom

Mom,   From where you sit today, perched above the heavens, chances are you already know the things I did which weren't the "best" as a child. So I'd just like to publicly apologize on this special day when I honor you, my beautiful mother, and all mothers out there. Season of Learning

Well the summer's officially over. Tomorrow the last of America's students go back to school, mine included. Its been a great summer but there is always something uplifting about this time of year for me. Maybe its that I somehow live vicariously through my kids and can remember the butterflies in my stomach at the thought of walking through those school doors for another year of adventure. Although to them, the butterflies are more about how good they'll look and if the chics will dig em (which is probably what I was thinking at their age). I might be dating myself by the very comment I just made. Haha. Hey, what can I say, I've been cool, hot, fresh, and ill, and at various times of my life, those were proud monikers.
